2022 Municipal Candidate Information


  • The City of Minnetrista’s next municipal election will appear on the November 2022 General Election Ballot.  The municipal offices on the ballot will be two Council Members (4 year terms - January 2023 thru December 2027), which are at-large positions, representing all Minnetrista residents.

2022 Candidate Forum Held on September 29, 2022

The League of Woman Voters hosted the Minnetrista Municipal Candidate Forum at Minnetrista City Hall on Thursday September 29 at 7:00pm.  This forum included candidates for Minnetrista City Council. All candidates have been invited to participate!
The purpose of this forum is to give Minnetrista voters an opportunity to hear candidates discuss the issues important in this election. The recording can be viewed here.

Campaign signage 

Please be aware that there is no limit to the size, number, or content of signs between June 24, 2022 and November 15, 2022.  However, political signs may not be placed in city streets or right-of-ways.  Political signs may also not be within 100 feet of a building where voting is taking place as per MN State Statutes.

Contact Minnetrista City Hall to file a complaint about the placement of a sign on a city street or on city property. If a sign violation is found along a city street, the City will contact the campaign chair, candidate, or property owner. The city will request correction by the end of the next business day. If a sign is determined to pose a safety hazard, City staff will remove the sign immediately and without notification. All signs not claimed within seven (7) days will be disposed of.
