Ready-to-Learn School Supply Program

It’s time for Western Communities Action Network’s (WeCAN) Ready to Learn program. New school supplies for K-12 students will be collected through Aug. 10. A curbside drop-off day will be held at WeCAN on August 5 from 9 a.m. to 4:30. Supplies can also be dropped off at WeCAN, along with churches and businesses in the area through August 10.  Most needed are: large backpacks, washable markers, colored pencils, flair/felt tip markers, dry erase markers, pens, No. 2 pencils, highlighters, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and sketchbooks. Complete lists of the supplies needed, as well as Amazon and Target wish lists, are located on the WeCAN website, www.wecanmn.org. Financial donations are also appreciated. Supplies will be distributed to families on August 25 at the WeCAN office. Call 952-472-0742 for more information. Thank you for helping children in the community be ready to learn for the school year!
