It’s time for Western Communities Action Network’s (WeCAN) Ready to Learn program. New school supplies for K-12 students will be collected through Aug. 10. A curbside drop-off day will be held at WeCAN on August 5 from 9 a.m. to 4:30. Supplies can also be dropped off at WeCAN, along with churches and businesses in the area through August 10. Most needed are: large backpacks, washable markers, colored pencils, flair/felt tip markers, dry erase markers, pens, No. 2 pencils, highlighters, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and sketchbooks. Complete lists of the supplies needed, as well as Amazon and Target wish lists, are located on the WeCAN website, . Financial donations are also appreciated.
