The Administration department consists of the City Administrator, Director of Administration, City Clerk, and Customer Service and Communications Assistant. The Administration Department provides a variety of day-to-day services for the City. The Administration Department also provides support for other departments throughout City Hall and makes sure all who are visiting during regular business hours receive the services they need. 

City Administration: The City Council delegates all administrative duties to the City Administrator who is accountable to the Council for effective administration of City business.

Meet Michael Barone

Michael Barone was appointed as interim City Administrator in May 2014. Then in January 2015 was appointed City Administrator. Before becoming City Administrator, Barone was hired as the Minnetrista Assistant City Administrator in October 2009. Prior to joining the City of Minnetrista, Barone spent 17 years at the City of Eden Prairie. From 1992 to 2002 he worked in Human Resources, and from 2002 to 2009 he worked as Assistant to the City Manager while at Eden Prairie

Barone has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Hamline University. Barone and his family reside in Eden Prairie.

Meet Allie Polsfuss

Allie Polsfuss was appointed the Director of Administration with the City of Minnetrista March 2020. Previously, Polsfuss worked for the City of Savage as an Assistant to the City Administrator and for the City of Madison Lake as a City Clerk/Assistant City Administrator. Polsfuss has a Bachelor Degree in Political Science and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Minnesota, Mankato. Polsfuss and her family reside in Montrose.

Customer Service & Communications Assistant
