The Administration department consists of the City Administrator, Director of Administration, City Clerk, and Customer Service and Communications Assistant. Duties of the administrative department include, but are not limited to, all aspects of human resources (staffing, benefits and compensation), communications, labor relations, policy research and implementation, city records and election.
The City Administrator is the chief administrative officer of the City under the direction of the City Council. The Administrator advises the Council in matters of general policy, human resources, budget, and procedure; and as the leader of the Administrative department, is responsible for the general management of the City.
Jasper Kruggel was appointed to the City Administrator position with the City of Minnetrista in April 2022. Previously, he was the Streets and Parks Manager in the City of Northfield from 2012-2016 and then moved to the Public Services Director for the City of Le Sueur in 2016. Most recently, Jasper was promoted to the City Administrator for the City of Le Sueur and has been in that position since 2017.He graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Minnesota and obtained a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Walden University, Minnesota. Jasper and his family reside in Savage, Minnesota.
