Revised Outdoor Watering Schedule as of Monday, August 30, 2021

REVISED OUTDOOR WATERING SCHEDULE AS OF MONDAY, AUGUST 30, 2021

The City of Minnetrista would like to thank residents for their patience with the Emergency Outdoor Water Ban implemented on June 24, 2021. Recently, we have finally seen an adequate amount of precipitation and cooler temperatures in the forecast to lift the ban and reimplement a revised outdoor watering schedule.

Effective Monday August 30, 2021, the City will be lifting the outdoor watering ban and implementing the Revised Outdoor Watering Schedule for residents on City water. The goal is to allow residents to water their lawns some, and to maintain adequate levels in our water towers for fire protection.

We are encouraging residents on City water to water responsibly. Keep in mind, if residents overwater as earlier this summer, and the water tower levels drop below what is necessary for fire suppression, the city will have to implement a full outdoor watering ban again. The Revised Outdoor Watering Schedule will remain in effect until further notice.
