Pet Waste Clean Up Reminder

The City of Minnetrista reminds all residents picking up after their pets is not just a matter of public health and safety, it’s also the law. It is more than just a nuisance, pet waste also pollutes our waterways. Every time it rains, thousands of pounds of pet waste left on the ground flow into storm drains that empty into Minnetrista lakes, creeks and streams. Every pet owner plays a part in keeping our water clean!

Pet waste stations are being installed in Minnetrista city parks. If they are full, owners should carry waste with them and dispose of properly at home. To report a pet waste station with no bags or a full receptacle, or to request one to be installed in a park near you, please call Minnetrista City Hall at 952-446-1660.
