Additional Information

  • Residents may pick up a recycling calendar at Minnetrista City Hall or view it here.
  • Did you miss our annual Recycle/Clean-up Day? Instead of waiting for our next event, why not drop your 'stuff' off at one of  Hennepin County's year-round drop-off facilities?
  • It is not uncommon to see homeowners burning garbage in rural areas. However, did you know this practice is dangerous to your health and has been against the law since 1969? Today's household trash contains many types of plastics and paper treated with chemicals, coatings and inks that, when burned, are released into our air, seep into our soil and groundwater and ultimately ends up in our food? Learn how you can help educate your friends and neighbors to stop this damaging practice.
  • For more recycling information, visit  Hennepin County's Rethink Recycling website  .

Why Does the City Coordinate a Recycling Program?

Hennepin County ordinance requires that the City provide for curbside recycling. While the County provides some grant dollars for this program, the City is required to pay for the rest of the program.

If you have any questions or concerns about your recycling, please contact City Hall at 952-446-1660 or minnetrista@ci.minnetrista.mn.us
