Mackenthun's submitted an application for a grocery store and multi-family apartment building at the property located on the portion of Woodland Cove north and west of roundabout at Highway 7 and Kings Point Road.
Project Update- October 10, 2022
On October 3, 2022, the City Council approved the Site Plan and Subdivision Agreement for new grocery store (Mackenthun's) and 148 until multi family apartment building in Woodland Cove. The development includes a Caribou Coffee and liquor store as a part of the Mackenthun's Development. Following the initial Council review of the site plan, the City Council provided feedback to the applicant to undergo a traffic study for the proposed development. The traffic study was reviewed by the city's engineer, and it was determined the planned modifications are sufficient to accommodate the anticipated increased traffic. The Highway 7 and Kings Point traffic will continue to be monitored as the Woodland Cove and Mackenthun's developments are constructed to determine if changes are necessary in collaboration with MNDOT.
