Police Chaplains

The Lake Minnetonka Area Police Chaplains (LMAPC) are a group of trained and equipped pastors from various churches in the service area.

A Chaplain's role includes acting as a connecting link with other religions and bringing their leadership, clergy, or imam on the scene when required or necessary.

This is a community service to ease pain and suffering and to bring the grace of God to people in need and all current chaplains serve as volunteers.  They come to assist when requested by a Police Officer or Fire Fighter and they provide care and service to persons involved in traumatic events. They may respond to incidents such as accidents, deaths or death notifications, displaced persons, fires, suicides, or any other tragic events. Assistance is given to whomever is in need, be it victims, family members, police officers, families of police officers, firefighters or paramedics.

Police Chaplains receive regular training and are issued equipment to assist them in their mission. The mission of the Lake Minnetonka Police Chaplain group is to help our neighbors experience care, compassion, and love that will result in a healthier and better community.
